Hey All
Thought we would update you on our 248s night,
Was great to have 77 ready for this meeting after getting the motor back on the friday.
In the qualifying heat we drew a nice grid 5,
77 turned some fast laps and ended up getting 2nd, we were back on track!!
we were happy to be in the 36 car feild over 3 races for the World 248 Global Challege title.
We drew really nice grids for the finals "NOT"
29,15 and 11
Race 1.
Grid 29 and it was pretty hectic going in with the large feild,
got tangled up on the first lap which put us at the tail end of the feild,
managed to pass a few cars, finishing up 13th, so was pretty happy with
that from grid 29,
Race 2.
Got away to a good start, running near the front of the pack,
mid race we took a good punt going into turn 1, 77 went off song,
bringing back memories from Christchruch, next corner i noticed the front
tyre was flat also, race was over so retried to the infeild.
Had a quick look over once we got into the pits, and discovered that a
spark plug lead had broken off, an also little carburator damage.
so we were releaved that the chevy was ok!
Race 3.
Was out of contention so decided to go out and have some fun,
got tangled up again!!, done a few laps as the car felt out of wack
after the tangle up. pulled to the infeild remaining of the race,
resulting in a DNF, found that the front Axel was bent, and other
things connected were off shape as well, Carby was off tune also.
Congratulations to Shane Penn,Peewee and Awsome to see Kev Smith on the podium.

NEW ZEALAND TEAMS CHAMPS
As most of you would know that the 77 is part of the
MANAWATU MUSTANGS and is awsome to be apart of the whole deal this weekend.
Our group consists of the PANTHERS and The Great Britain Team,
tuff group yes! yet anythink can happen on the day!
